Where did you find that?! I’ve been looking for that bass for years (I have the 4 st version)! That’s actually Streamer Bolt-On, a forerunner to the LX. The headstock veneer is ebony, which is typically dyed black and fades over time. What a great bass!

Dunlop 65 then Warwick wax or Howard's Feed-n-wax will do the trick. It may take a couple of applications. The grey spot in my avatar pic (1991 Streamer SSII) was like yours it is now completely gone after 2 coats of Dunlop65. Before and after pics can be seen a few page back in the Warwick Club Thread. Enjoy your new Warwick.

Congrats that was a good decision, based on the options you provided (that one was my vote too ).

The frets should be dressed, if you’ve not done that before then take it to a good tech vs risking it.

For the Wenge finger board, Howard’s Feed and Wax is what many of us use on our Warwicks or the Warwick wax. The Wenge will soak it up as it is very porous.

I've found it on the lacal version of the German Ebay. and after a short fight, was able to get it. So it is actualkly not the LX? Asking, couse the serial number leads me to LX name.
(let me mark you if I'll decide to sell it couse of the 5 strings)

I'll see ewhat can be done.. I live in the small German town.. they do not even have 7 string sets for the guitar.

Nice bass btw. I've never owned a Warwick but appreciate their reputation for building a fine instrument.

Yep, the model was the Streamer Bolt-On from 1993-1997 and featured a US cherry body, maple neck (often multi-lam like yours) and wenge board. Around ‘97 it became the LX, which featured a 2-piece maple body - and most models featured a wenge neck and fingerboard.
