Excellent choice!!! The SR505 is a fantastic bass with the Bartolini EQB-IIIS 3-band EQ circuitry - plus the mid freq switch. It has a very wide range of tonal capabillities. The mid freq switch wasn't introduced until 2010 so it's a real new bass. The neck on Ibby SR5's are so sweet with a very nice flattend profile. They only weigh about 8.5 lbs. Quality basses.

Why is your case bent by the upper horn? I have that case and mine's not.

There's a straplock on the upper horn which kind of pushed it in. The same thing happened on the butt of the bass.

The SR505 is a solid bass. I own one myself and really dig the newer Ibanez basses.

Awesome Bass. If I didn't have my mind set on a Fender Jazz, this would be my next Bass. Tried it out a few weeks ago and was very impressed.
