NBD!!! My First Fender!

So I’ll be 42 next week and I’ve always wanted a fender. I have a few squiers but never had the dough to plop down for a fender. I told the wife if I found a ridiculous deal I might have to pull the trigger. I found one on eBay for an acceptable price and bid a few times but I got cold feet once the price crept up a bit. Someone still got a great deal. Mad at myself. So I get back to scouring the web. I’m not really finding anything for a few weeks. I post on the local musicians page on Facebook that I’m looking for a Fender Jazz. Lo and Behold a friend of a friend says he has one in storage that he’s be willing to sell cheap. I won’t tell you how much but it’s what you’d expect to pay for a used Squier. So here is my new to me 2002 Deluxe Active Jazz Bass.

Originally those came with the Fender noiseless pickups. How do you like the Suhr? I have no experience with that brand.

Sorry, but that is not true...These are the original pickups...all the Mexi Fender Deluxes had them in the ...late 90s ...early 2000s
