Nice bass.
If I could make one change (besides the tuners) I'd have the knurled chrome knobs, otherwise it looks great. Especially the fret(less)board.
Does it have the mwah?

We used three progressively finer grades of Meguiar's Mirror Glaze. Plus a whole lot of elbow grease!

Very Nice! You have the J knobs, the bass of doom has P bass knobs, if you want to really keep it apples and apples...nice job either way.
Yeah I have a set of P knobs but haven't put em on cuz I don't really like the look. Like I said, this is "my" rendition...
Beautiful work! Has anyone ever built or seen a Bass-of-Doom-esque J-Bass with an epoxied, de-fretted maple fretboard? I wonder what that would sound like. I've seen some videos of Jaco playing a J-Bass with a maple fretboard, but it looked like it had frets. A de-fretted, epoxied maple fretboard J-Bass would be a cool project (if I had the time, and more importantly, the skills).
I found a lighter vintage American Fender body that has a 60's sunburst which I prefer for this bass. Converted everything over and upgraded to USA Hipshot Ultralite tuners... Now this killer fretless weighs only 8 pounds!

Strings are GHS Infinity Steels 40-102. They are coated like Red Devils but they have a nicer feel, a very subtle "rubbery"-ness that gives excellent tactile feel for the right hand. Like traction for the fingers, very cool. Unfortunately GHS quit making them a while back, luckily I stocked up on them...
And yeah, this burst is much closer to Jaco's which is what I wanted. Now I just need to put the time in so mine looks like his:
