NBD! NBD!! NBD!!!

If you put a set of Hipshot Ultralites on that thing, I bet that neck'll pop up just about where you want it. Compared to most tuners, they're about a half pound less.
Thanks, I looked these up...they look great but I think the extra holes in the back of the headstock would drive me crazy. What about the Gotoh tuners? They look like they could be a direct replacement? And what's the deal with the "reverse wind tuners"? That seems strange to me.

I like the Dino’s, I mean my practice space has Star Wars and Marvel stickers!
Nice! BTW, purple is my favorite color. Your bass looks amazing! Did you build that? And I also have that purple lightning strap.

Stop! Stop! Stop! PhinDude! Those pics of that gorgeous bass are killing me, and I just got my GAS under control.
Now go enjoy your bass. You deserve it!
Thanks! Our GAS is never under control...we only have the illusion of control!:roflmao:

I built a kit (Saga MB-10... think EBMM Classic 5 'clone'), replacing the cheap, but functional, chrome tuners with black Hipshot Ultralites...

... I filled in the extra holes with more black screws, for the bedazzled effect... this on a maple headstock (rear, of course)... you probably wouldn't even notice them, after awhile.

That's a good idea...keeping the screws in the extra holes...

What do you think of these?

Another great offering... they list the weight (their scale, of course)... it would be interesting if you could remove yours, getting a ballpark estimate to compare whatever you get with...

... just make sure you get the correct size post.

If you're going for light weight and great balance, you have to get over a hole here and there:

Nice review! Specialty Traders is my company and a fellow customer forwarded your post to me. We really appreciate the pics of the box and packaging, and mentioning the set up. We try to deliver a great playing product every time. Watch your mailbox, small token of appreciation is in route.

Good job!

For some reason, you treat your customers right, they keep wanting to throw money at you...

... weird..

Hey Spidey, I ordered those Gotoh tuners. I also emailed ESP and they told me the LTD vintage tuners weigh ~3.2oz each (~91grams). So it sounds like the Gotohs will save me almost 1/3 of a pound at the headstock. Not a huge weight reduction, but hopefully it's enough to keep the neck where I like it. I'll let you know how it works out! Thanks!
