This thing is killer. I just picked up a Fender Roscoe Beck in Champagne finish with custom pickguards and Audere Jazz preamp. Yes, this thing has been modified with the Audere and two custom pickguards to accommodate.

Still has the series/parallel/single coil tapping for the original Bill Lawrence pickups but now has complete pickup pan, treble/bass boost and cut, and tone control. Amazing array of tones!

I had a Roscoe Beck before and liked a lot about it but the passive electronics and output just left me wanting more. With a preamp this is an amazing tone machine. I'm seriously impressed.
The neck is awesome and this one takes the lowest action of any Fender I've ever owned. I've got it low, low, low.

It easily exceeds the feel and tone of the Fender Elite Jazzes I've had and is far more versatile. Goes from smooth and pleasant to growly and gnarly easily.

I've got a vintage pearl pickguard (on it now) and a tort.

In case I want to switch back to the original electronics, I've got them and the original pickguard but there is no way I see myself ever wanting to do that.

Anyway, check this out. Super pleased with this one. When people talk about tone monsters, well this thing is a tone monster for sure.
