A new bass day of sorts. I bought this pre-owned G&L LB100 back in March of this year (had it been that long?).
Was getting some fret buzz at the higher frets, thought I’d adjust the truss rod. Wouldn’t budge, my guitar/bass tech couldn’t get it to move, concluded that it was frozen.
This bass was almost nine years old, but he suggested I contact G&L’s customer support. Spoke to Memo, and he said to ship them the neck, he would build me a new one. Catch was it might take 3-4 months. OK. Did that, then he offered to plek the neck and said it would be more accurate with the body and strings on it. I shipped those out to him and I just got it back this week.
First, I think they buffed and polished the body to match the new neck. Second, it looks and plays like a dream.
This done in the 9th year of a 10 year warranty, not for the original owner and with no receipt.
I can’t say enough good things about Memo, and all the folks at G&L.
