NBD- Peavey TL6

Man , those are great basses and reminiscent of the F bass Alain Caron and Joel White use to play with the 2 P bass pickups.
Tim was a solid bassist and I’ve always been fond of this model like the original John Patitucci with 19mm string spacing and 34” scale.
Great find , great bass ……. Enjoy it!

I was in a serious Vital Information phase right around the time these came out. I saw the band at Liberty Lunch in Austin when it still existed, and Landers was sporting a new one and proud of it. Sounded great then and enjoy yours now!

So wasn’t planning on it but wandered on in to Sam Ash, and saw this beauty hanging on the wall. I’ll confess part nostalgia but mostly because this bass is an AMAZING player. The build is so solid, previous owner took good care, just a few small dings and a changed tuner, everything else is straight. I went home without but came back for it the next day. Very happy to have it, really enjoying it. Anyway…

The TL-5’s and TL-6’s in my opinion rival anything Peavey is making now.
Here’s a TL-5 I refinished in Purple burst, and a TL-6 (I put an EMG in it though because the pickup died). It’s a bit too wide for my hand..but I won’t sell it because it belonged to Randy Jackson.
Also a picture of a TL-5 I’m refinishing now.
