This bass is a shell pink beast!!! The neck is perfect and the tone is for days. It sounds like a really nice jazz bass… on steroids.

The Seymour Duncan/Lull pickups are hot hot hot. The plek'd neck is perfect for my crazy low action.

I am also thankful for all the birds who gave their lives for me to have that birdseye maple neck. :woot::laugh:

Interesting story: I negotiated the purchase of this bass entirely through Instagram DMs with Spencer Lull. Never once even emailed or spoke on the phone. Looking back, that's kind of wild… and really easy! Spencer is the man!

Based on the control knobs it looks as if the preamp is a Sadowsky. Good call - the Sadowsky pairs really nicely with those SD pickups. I bought my M5V on a whim ten years ago and it has done more gigs with me than any of my other basses. I hope your enthusiasm holds and that this new bass doesn't go the way of your Moon. ;)

Oooohhh… my Moon!! :crying::crying: Up til now, that was the best sounding bass I've ever owned. It played great too. If it hadn't been 10lb (and looked like my guitarist's granny's refrigerator :roflmao:).

Seriously though, this bass sounds every bit as good as that one, if not better. I think my enthusiasm is safe.:hyper:

Pink? It may be my monitor, but my eyes see beige, or half-way between beige and pink, depending on how much brown is coming through the monitor and the individual opinion on where the difference lay. Either way, it has a definite late-50's vibe to it.
