I am also thankful for all the birds who gave their lives for me to have that birdseye maple neck.

I have an old Schecter bass from the 1980s, back when all their instruments were made in America by David Schecter and Tom Anderson, and it too has a birds-eye maple neck. The repair guy who did my bass setups was always impressed with that neck; he told me "it's really hard to make a solid, stable neck that'll stay straight out of birds-eye maple, I don't know why luthiers even go to the trouble...until I see one like this and then it all makes sense."

My Lull PT4-30 short scale that I bought in December also has some sick birdseye going on in the neck. I took 'er out of the house to a band rehearsal for the first time this past weekend, and one of the guitarists was amazed at the birdseye going on... pic:

Yeah, I'm a sucker for birdseye maple. I have a custom MTD on order that'll have a birdseye maple fingerboard as well.

Yeah, it turned out there wasn't a delay. Just a long lack of communication from UPS... so yeah, a few sweats.

Based on the control knobs it looks as if the preamp is a Sadowsky.

The preamp on my Lull M5V was an 18v Aguilar OBP3. Seems like you can select different options.

The OBP-3 is what came with my M5V. It didn't work out for me so I switched it for a Sadowsky preamp. I've never seen anyone other than Sadowsky use that type of control knob, hence my confusion.
