Nicely sculpted heel. It looks like the control plate is countersunk. It isn't on the Dart IIRC, which is inexcusable at the price.

stingrays and sterlings Always look better without the pickguard IMO because it reminds me of a toilet seat and the slightly offset shape bothers me.

That looks really nice! I like the grain on the body. And the fit and finish appears to be good in your pictures. A solid looking bass. I’m tempted to save up my pennies for one.

Honestly, I love it. That could be my P bass replacement and I’d be happy as a clam. I wish EB took the opportunity to price the US model at the same price as a US Fender P. They would probably be very competitive. I know I would have bought one.

Took her to rehearsal last night, and I’m very happy to report that it plays like a piece of wood that’s come right off a tree. I mean that in a good way. It just feels like you’re playing a piece of nature, which is super cool. The tone control is really versatile, and I ended up backing it off quite a bit. TIs were a little bit of an adjustment, as they always are at first for me. For some reason, when I put those on my guitars, at the beginning I’m thinking these things feel like floppy noodles, but then all of a sudden it just works, which is also strange. The pickup sounds fantastic in the mix. It’s definitely more svelte than your average bass. It’s nice and light, so it’s got me thinking about getting a new strap for it that will kind of go with the look but is slim and comfortable. Any recommendations on that are most welcome. I give her a solid 8.5 out of 10, on par with my ray34 funk machine, but for now, a bit behind my road worn flea jazz bass.
