I had a Classic 3TSB Stingray several years ago and really liked it but it was a bit on the heavy side (over 10 lbs.) and not in one of my favorite colors so I let it go. When these new retro models came out I instantly fell in love with the White model (my favorite color) and been GAS'ing for one ever since. Saw this one right at 9 lbs. and jumped on it. Never thought I would have a white Stingray, especially with the retro looks and feel, so yeah...I cannot wipe the smile off my face. This bass is awesome!!

Nice pair!! Are you going to go with a black pick guard for that true retro look?

No, I actually want to go with a white pickup to make it all white, lol If that is even possible, I don't know if the cover comes off easily or if it is waxed/glued on or something
Best to email EBMM. Each model is different . I know the Specials are glued on.

I was considering a white one but I would want the black pick guard and white pickup cover. I ultimately decided to go with another model that was more comfortable for me .
Your idea is a good one .
All white would look great too!!

If you make that change, be sure to post pics. Congrats on a beautiful bass.

Congrats on your new bass man, super happy for you! These things are AWESOME. I played one at a local music shop, I think it was right after they started to be sold too. It made me so happy playing it, unfortunately at the time, I couldn't afford it, otherwise I would have totally bought it there on the spot. But they're such lovely instruments!

Congrats! A very nice pair. I posted elsewhere but I demoed the 70's Retro at a local music shop a while back. I guess I wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised on how good it sounded and played. Very consistent neck and I really liked the pre-amp. Seemed usable throughout it's entire range. I do like the modern design features and contouring of the Specials though. If I could, I'd love to have a Special with pickup and preamp of the 70's Retro.
