NBD ~ Reverend Sentinel!

I decided that the time was right to add another short scale bass to the stable, so I snagged this used Reverend Sentinel. Totally digging it so far! I had a Rumblefish for more than a decade, but it grew less comfortable for me based on my right arm position. The Sentinel is super comfy, and it's considerably shorter than my G&L Tribute Fallout, making it possibly even easier to play than that one. The enormously cool color is "Bradford Beach Blue", named after a really nice beach in Wisconsin, although it is also referred to as "transparent turquoise". The bladed P pickup is HOT, and the volume and tone controls work in tandem to produce a wide variety of sounds. Add in a 3-way switch that goes deep/normal/bright and the tone possibilities multiply. The painted neck is a non-issue for ease of playing. I have restrung it with GHS Pressurewounds. The band has a gig June 11th and I fully intend to play it loud and proud! I took these photos today with my Nikon.

Thanks! It's a set neck; I'm unsure about the glued wings... I've owned almost all bolt-ons. Somebody will know!

Lovely looking instrument and I hope it sounds and plays as well as it looks.

Sadly Reverends are not for me, I don't do sharp edged guitar and bass bodies, but for those who don't find them uncomfortable, enjoy.

Nope, it's not sharp edged (at least on top), even though the binding makes it look like it might be. The upper edge on my Rumblefish is what made me eventually sell it. This one is 100% comfy!

I like that they aren't afraid to mix it up. This one is an odd bird, but it works: tele plate style controls, non F body, tiltback painted headstock... I'd love to play one.

I just dislike the straight horn that is on pretty much all of their basses. I forgot about the wattpower which looks cool and I would rock that. Just saw the wattpower mark II on their site and that looks sweet. But thats only 1 out of like 7 designs.

Surprised to hear a Milwaukee Wisconsin reference in the color name. There isn’t an obvious connection I could see, does anyone know where that came from?
