NBD Rickenbacker 4003SW

Today I am fortunate to be able to afford a brand new finely crafted Rickenbacker 4003SW.

Nearly 50 years ago, my mother used her hard-earned money to buy me a new Rickenbacker 4001 bass in 1978.

Unfortunately, I ran into financial hardship and had sold that beloved bass in 1998.

I am truly grateful for coming full circle as there are so many youthful memories attached to playing a Rickenbacker bass.

The pic with the Jetglo Ric and the Acoustic head - that was my rig back in the day as well. My parents bought me a new Jetglo 4001 in '76 (well, I chipped in with my measly contribution!) - they thought if I was serious I should have good gear. I played only that bass for about 11 years. Sadly, I no longer have mine either, actually traded it for some crappy Ibby in the mid 80's that I wouldn't even touch now.
