This is outstanding!

Here's one of my basses ...

Part Fender, Part Thunderbird, part Rickenbacker and completely Frankenstein.

The neck pickup is Rickenbacker and the pickups are in the Rickenbacker positions, and it has a 4 band audere preamp. To get the old 4001 tone I boost the high mids.

I just placed an order with Classic Amplification for a pair of their Rickenbacker replacement pickups for a 5 string. They should be here in 3-4 weeks. I'll post sound clips for all to hear.

The Classic Amplification pickups are installed and as promised here are some soundclips. Both pickups on and pickstyle only the same way that I did in post #37:
1. Volumes up and capacitor bypassed
2. Neck pickup volume rolled back 1/4 or so and capacitor bypassed
3. Volumes up and capacitor engaged
4. Neck pickup volume rolled back 1/4 of so and capacitor engaged
