NBD - Roscoe Classic P5

Roscoe Classics are a real sleeper. I have two and the playability is ridiculous. I think if they had more of a signature sound like Sadowsky and Alleva, people would consider them on that level. My Roscoe Classic P bass with a Kloppman 63 pickup absolutely kills my (mostly) original ‘71 precision.
I like the line too. I think for what it’s intended to be, an homage to vintage instruments, they do a good job. I may consider adding another jazz from this line and modify it with a Sadowsky pre or a John East Marcus preamp. I’ve modified other instruments and I’ve been pleased with the improvement in tone from swapping preamps and or pickups.

Really!? Playability that good huh? I'm certainly looking forward to getting mine!

Beautiful bass.
Before you go sinking money into a custom pickup, try rolling strings. LaBella Black tapes might give her the 60s P sound you crave.
I found the previous post where the Nordstrand was referenced:

(NP5v with Alnico III magnets and equal length covers)

It sounds like it may be the strings so I am going to try that first.
