Just got it. It's amazing. I instantly wanted a second.

Anybody need a couple MIA Fender P's?

That is smokin'. Any details on where from and how much would be appreciated.

  8. Weird. The body looks smaller than standard Fender size, but the upper horn still reaches the 12th fret...

  9. awesome. seems to me it's not every day you see a sandburg around here. very nice, underrated basses.

the body feels about the same size as my P's. the neck seems a little thinner, more jazzy. i wouldn't trust my iphone photo skills.

i got it straight from the factory. last time my band was in germany, we played with a sandberg employee's band. i flipped when i saw his basses. the pickups are cool, but i think i'll be putting a dimarzio dp122 in.

for the quality, they're very reasonably priced.

Love the Sandberg! I want an identical one, couse I'm a lefty also. I'm a HUUUGE fan of yours Josh and I'll be very pleased if you guys in ETID would come to Finland! I saw on your tour schedule that you are going to Sweden but not here ;(

thanks guli, much appreciated. we played helsinki in december, hopefully we'll be back soon.

  15. Amazing! Looks like one of the old Fender slab basses - the mega growly UK import ones. But obviously without the slab body. :D

    What does it sound like?:bassist:

That's great news about the neck. I'm saving for the California PM and I was worried about the neck being too thick. My present bass has got a jazz-like neck.

Have you got the factory strings on them, or did you go with flats? (The factory strings are steel, as I recall...)

they're the factory strings. they're pretty good. i tend to go for the "zing", so i like them, not unlike my d'addarios. i change them every day when on tour, unless we happen to play a show during which i don't sweat like a pig...
