I had one of the first v7 5 strings way back in the day....it was a great bass. It did weigh somewhere in the 10lb range. No big deal for me but I know that’s a deal breaker for some. The 2nd gen features are a big time step up. I just got a new v5 and the unfinished neck and rolled edges are awesome. The new bass looks great.....enjoy

Yeah my first Sire was a boat anchor yet a great value.
You’re right , these 2nd Generation basses are a huge improvement !
I just put a set of Boomers on it and it’s as cool as Christmas!

I took this bass to church today and this bass was singing. The band ( which includes 5 other bassists) was amazed at the quality, sound and playability of this bass. Easily the best fretless bass I’ve owned regardless of cost.
