As soon as Sire announced it, I knew I was going to end up getting one.
It couldn’t be more glam, under stage lights this bad boy is going to be quite a showstopper.
It weighs more than I’d like (4,47kg - 9,85lbs) but as for playability and tone it is a great bass, not only for the money.
Something that caught my attention is that it comes from the factory with DR Dragon Skin+ strings, it's the first time I've seen this on a Sire.

These beautiful photos are from the shop where I bought it, with the mint-green pickguard:

I’ve put Sadowsky knobs on it (almost 2026 and Sire is still using those horrible cheap plastic knobs) and a black pickguard, which I think complements the look of the black block inlays much better:

Not my style but that’s sick!

I’d rip the preamp out and get rid of all those knobs. Put a passive control plate in. Prob save yourself 1lb

Wow, what a looker! The steel neck cover and black pickguard were the right move.

Quite a doll! But durned if those pickups don't look like 70s spacing -- shoulda asked before you put the pickup cover on, but can you measure from back edge to back edge to see if they are spaced 3-5/8" (60s/normal) or 4" (70s)?

To be honest, I hadn’t even noticed this issue, and I have to thank you for bringing it up. I bought it purely for the sparkle finish, but without a doubt, they used the V7 Vintage platform/body for this model. Exactly the same 70s spacing
