So... I wanted an affordable & comfortable & good sounding & passive & noiseless & 5 string & maple PJ bass. Purpose: backup & stunt bass for my main Fenders USA P and J basses (simultaneously).
Sire P5 ticked most of the boxes; but obviously lacked a J pickup and I wasn't crazy about its P pickup either.
Solution: Purchased a nice Sire P5 + Aguilar PJ set simultaneously; which went to my luthier immediately; who also shielded the bass with copper foil completely.
Result?
