So I went shopping for an inexpensive 5-string to replace the used Ibanez fiver that due to the narrow string spacing and an iffy preamp just wasn't working out for me, but somehow I came home with this instead. I played nearly every bass on the wall that was priced less than $1100 USA. This one has a good sound, smooth fretwork, and was the lightest weight Jazz bass on the wall. In fact, only the Ibanez SR basses felt lighter. Some more expensive J's were prettier, and some of the Squiers were prettier as well, but this one spoke to me. It instantly made my playing funkier. She nicely compliments my vintage (Is 1982 really vintage now?) Pedulla. I have No Regerts.
