NBD: Sorta 51P Maple/Ash Parts Bass

Finished for now. Letting Tru-Oil outgas for a week before adding more coats or maybe just wax.

Sound is very full and clear. Fralin pickups never fail to deliver.

Specs:

• Body sorta 51P with modern bridge and pocket, flame maple cap 1/4" on ash, dyed with Transtint Dark Vintage Maple, then 6 coats with Tru-Oil. Custom made for me by Sonorous Custom Guitars (on eBay). Matt is great to work with!
• Neck Warmoth maple, also dyed with Transtint Dark Vintage Maple, but as you'll see, much lighter outcome. 3 coats Tru-Oil. Flame not ordered, but it does have a light flame to it.
• Hipshot lollipop tuners
• Gotoh 201B bridge
• Fralin Split 51P, +5%
• D'Addario Chromes

I've combined a Fralin with Chromes on my LB-100, and love them. But ideally, I'd be swapping my pickup for one of your Split 51Ps, so that I never have any drop-off of tone when hopping from the A to the D string. So I'm jealous x)

I have had both the 5% over and stock split coil winding and prefer the stock winding.

Very cool bass and don't wait around too long to get that Fralin pickup whomever was asking about it. It's fantastic.

For some reason threaded saddles don't turn my crank. Dunno why. In this build, though, the 19mm spacing hits the poles of the pickup exactly perfectly. I could see going to a bent steel bridge with a single notch on each saddle though.
