NBD:Squier Deluxe Dimension IV

I didn’t even know about these until two days ago. Randomly wandered into a pawn shop and found it there with the other basses. Been wanting a maple neck, active bass with a humbucker or two to go with my P and J but not crazy about the Stingray sound, but this fit the bill perfectly. Nice, low action and a ton of useable tones. Pretty lightweight, love the P nut width, Fender high mass bridge, good tuners. I believe these have the same pickup as the Fender Standard version, but that is a passive bass while this is an active (like the Fender Deluxe Dimension) but with a 9 volt and 3 EQ preamp.

It’s a 2015 and is new, still had the plastic on the pickguard. Played it a few days ago and really wanted it but didn’t want to pay $349 plus tax and left. Went back today and talked the guy down to $280 out the door! Not much more than the used one I was looking at online. Loving it so far.

 

Thanks! Yours is nice too. I knew you weren't going to sell yours and there are only a couple used online. Cant believe I found a new one sitting in a pawn shop, but they are a Fender dealer and I just got lucky I guess. Sucks that Squier and Fender discontinued them but the American Deluxe HH are at a nice price used right now. Probably going to grab one.
