NBD - Squier VM Jazz Bass

Mine was $300 new. I A/B'd it vs a Geddy Lee Jazz. Almost identical sound & feel.

I love the block inlays, of course. I also spent $10 for the knobs off a GL.

I used to string mine with DR hi-beams, recently I put a set of GHS brite flats on it, and they sound like 20-year-old rounds. Awesome rumbly sound.

I have had mine since 2009, and it has seen more shows than I can remember. It is rock solid, always sounds great. Never even needed to set it up. It just played great right away, so I left it like that.

Bought it from Guitar Emporium in Louisville, KY.

My vm precision was $279. My vm jazz was $170. They are damn good deals.

I just pulled the trigger on a VM Jazz tonight. It's the Musician's Friend "exclusive" 3-tone Sunburst model...but identical to the natural version in every other way. I will definitely post a review once it arrives.

I recently bought a Squire VM just the same as this and paid £175 for it. It was secondhand but in immaculate condition. I would like to add the tail guard and pickup cover.
