I just love how Ernie Ball reproduce the old basses.
To make everything work properly, they just moved the bridge so the strings are aligned with the center of the pickup's pole position .
It was a better choice for them then to reproduce faulty original bridge with strings passing at an angle.
Once You see it, You can't unsee it.

The "Flea" bridge, 1992 - 94. Apparently shipped from EBMM over to Japan the following years and used on the EX - this bass is a 1998.

Considering how many think that tort on 3TSB is the ultimate classic look I'm the odd man out, but in my eye tort clashes with 3TSB every time.

I happen to like the tort, but if I had that bass and was making money and getting callbacks, I could live with the black pickguard just fine.

Me too - love tort, but it looks weird on this bass. Tort needs some curves to flow with. The tort Frisbee looks odd.

I love the fact that tort is so polarizing! So, given that it's actually illegal to have anything other than tort on a 3TSB body (don't blame me if the Style Police come knockin' on your door) and I am a law-abiding tort-lover, I have to go with tort. But NOT THAT ONE! Too dark! Maybe a Spitfire... So, would that be tort reform?
