Just got back from picking it up. I originally ordered a Kiloton Tribute from Reverb and the next day saw one of these listed so I called and canceled my order and by the time I got done with the phone call it had sold. So I started searching online and found this for $50 less in a music shop in my area. I’ve been looking for one in this teal color since I saw one in the classifieds here. The guys working the counter thought the original pickguards was ugly as hell so they swapped it out before I even got there, which was a huge plus for me. Now I’m just waiting on my white one to arrive. All in all, I’m glad I finally have a US made bass in the color I’ve been searching for. Came with the original MusicMan case as well.

Oh, and when I was looking around in the shop, the guys from Foreigner were there looking around since they were playing the state fair tonight.

This is the USA one right? The pickguard has been change btw, but you probly know that...the black looks good though. Congrats!

Yeah, I had ordered a white pickguard before I picked it up but when I got there it had the black guard on it. The guy said when he pulled it off the wall it had the original diamond plate one and he thought it looked hideous so he put the black one on. I also have the original but I’ll never use it unless I sell it, but I don’t see that happening.

There's a mirrored pickguard for sale in the classifieds that would look Fab on that. Seller's a nice guy too /cough /cough

You ever use the dunlop cleaning kit? With the 01 fretboard cleaner and conditioner? I feel like it far outdoes the EB womderwipes. It really brings out a rosewood board. Especially if no one ever cleaned and oiled it

No I haven’t anything yet. I was going to try the Minwax stain markers that were mentioned in another thread.
