I managed to score the last or almost one of the last Classic Vibe 50s Precision available in Spain. After two weeks crawling the internet and sending emails to shops one of them replied me saying they have just one.

Finishing is flawless, not a single fault. Controls and the tuners turn softly and they keep tuning quite good. The bridge looks exactly the same as the Fender classic they sell as replacement. She came very well adjusted to my taste. I don't know if factory or shop adjusted but well done.

BTW, anyone knows what string brand wear these squiers?

I'm really impressed, honestly. It sound really nice and on par to my mexican with EMG GZR. Different voicing but familiar to me. I was a little bit afraid it would be so different I wouldn't like. Fear gone.

As per the strings, I think that model comes with Fender ML roundwound - I changed mine out for flatwounds. I made a few other modifications too, to make it more like an actual 1951-54 bass.... and somewhat to my surprise, my bandmates asked me to use that bass for almost every gig! It has a great tone - bright and clear, yet "muscley"..... it is now one of my most-used basses! I love the smaller "vintage" (guitar-sized) fretwire - makes it feel a bit like a fretless! Enjoy your new bass - I am sure you will!

Here the first cosmetic change: a vinyl sticker in a sandpaper like finish. Nicer than the stock white one IMO. All the borders, better or worse, have been cut as it did not paste in the bezel properly. Looks good anyway.

Next cosmetic will be long stem tuners. Waiting for them.
