Not my taste in finish but I love the look of that neck!

Back off Hoss and feed your lawyers some scraps, but it’s Lake Placid blue and it wasn’t the only one that Fender/Squier used it on.We are very concerned by the prospect of FMIC issuing musical instruments in our patent-protected Pelham Blue® finish. Please leave sufficient contact information by which we might follow up on your allegations.

To be fair it was DuPont or Cadillac or someone that named the color, but Fender never had it.We are very concerned by the prospect of FMIC issuing musical instruments in our patent-protected Pelham Blue® finish. You will notice a lot of hum from fluorescent lights, but that is era correct. I pretty much have to turn the volume knob all the way down between songs in at least one bar I play in. Mine is strung with GHS Precision Flats 45-105. I was reading here on Talkbass today where someone said that these were as close to Leo's original strings as you can get (didn't know before, but have been using them since the late 80s)
I believe Fender calls that "Lake Placid Blue".
Yeah, I am aware that Pelham Blue was coined by Gibson, and I'm sure Fender has a different name for it, but it's almost exactly the same color and I was too lazy to look it up.
Still am, for that matter.![]()
