NBD: Unicornbass custom 5-string! (56k warning)

So this thing KILLED at last night. It is the most responsive bass I've ever played. I could play very soft and it still produced the same growl as when played aggressively. Great midrange character, enough to punch through and be heard, but never intrusive or harsh.

I am head over heels in love with this bass. Soundclips and videos WILL come in aprx a week, give a few days.

So here we go. These clips are recorded straight into my PC laptop through a jury rigged RCA to mini to big jack, with the simple, standard audio recorder of Vista.

You use what you've got! :D

Bass is in active mode with controls flat.

Anyway, N stands for neck, B for bridge. 1 is the coil closest to the neck, 2 humbucker and 3 coil closest to the bridge.

1+2 is coil 1 on the neck pickup, coil 2 on the bridge etc.

Sorry for the crappy playing, due to technical limitations I couldn't hear myself at all when playing.

The strings are a bit dead as well. 35-120 IIRC. Nickel.

On to the link:
