In May of 2020 I lost my job during the Covid lockdowns.
I found a new one in August.

When I realized I was going to like working there and quickly rebuilding my clientele, I found myself thinking of ordering my dream Wal, but was a little hesitant .

Meanwhile a couple of highly respected guys in the Wal club suggested placing an order before an inevitable price increase.

So I placed a down payment in October 20 and was quoted a three year build time, the longest I have ever waited for a bass.

The positive was I had plenty of time to save up the money for it.

Didnt realise it at the time but I was one of the lucky ones .

A few months later the build time went from three years to four.

Then Paul stopped taking orders to catch up.

Two and a half years came and went then one morning I received the email to choose a top AKA facings.

The end result was completely different from the original specs but turned out better than I anticipated!

The Wal was held up in customs which is normal finally arriving last Friday.

The agony was waiting the suggested six hours before taking the bass out of the case to let it acclimate to the climate.:D

The weight, sound and playability are incredible now on to the pics. Very grateful!
