NBD Warwick RB Streamer Fretless 4 (2009)

I thought Id give Fretless a try. I ended up buying a used RB Streamer - based on photos , before something expensive came along ! I couldnt find a whole lot of user info`/reveiws on these (fretless) , so I thought write a few words here. It seems like its very well buildt.
It stays in tune . The neck has a nice thick " Tiger stripe Ebony " fretboard, its is straight and smooth . No lines -dots on the side. German made Schaller tuners . 3 piece maple neck , with 2 strips of something else in between. satin finish ? very slipery. Body /neck fit /angel is great , low action ,without pushing the bridge to any extreems in any direction .The body wood they call Carolina ?? - Some say pine - I think so too. It seems soft and light weight . Id like to point out this body is contoured with tummy cut and arm cut outs .very nice. Looking at photos I se that many RB streamers are not contoured like this . Dont know why. The back of the body is flat - not the concave shape of the original . The finish - Nirvana Black - Hummm, kind of matt black spray can. You see the lines of the wood grain (so its real wood !) . It works , but the thought of sanding it off has been there allready.
Pu`s : passive and no battery . I guess they have low output. But TB`rs helpt me buy a Mesa Subway DI , so thats no a problem for me. It is strung with flat wounds. To my ears the PUs sound very good - The pots -tone control - could be better -it dosent do much.
Its a pretty Light weight Bass , good balance ,and I find comfy to play on. Im happy with it -for now

I have decided that I prefer lined fretless, but those unlined Warwicks are gorgeous, and would love to have one for the looks.

8 mouths on , it's holding up great , and sounds good to me. I find I often pick the bass track(s) with the fretless ,when I am fooling around with Garageband. Ive been looking at adds for a German W fretless , but the reality is - This one is suits my needs .
Oh! and the pot that didn't do much - it was loose
