Would a clear pickguard work for you? Kind of that "going with but feeling without" sensation?Sorry. I don't know why I feel this way but no pick guard is like going out with no underpants. I just don't need to hang that loose...
That’s exactly what I did for my last Alien Audio Constellation. Works great and allows a subsequent owner the choice of ditching the pickguard and not having a bunch of screw holes detracting from the appearance of the bass.Silly question- has anybody ever tried just high end 3M tape under the pickgaurd and ditch putting screws into the body?
This way you can always convert it to whatever tastes suit you with no worries.

That looks awesome!Yes, that's exactly what I did with my Dingwall Afterburner. The model is not available with a pickguard, so I outlined one to my liking, and taped it to the body. If I ever sell it (doubtful) or change my mind (just as doubtful), it should be relatively easy to remove it, and leave no mark on the body.
