...said no one ever. I have a fretted and retless from the same maker but it never occured to me to match them to a guitar or even each other. Jealous and now I have to catch up.

I sold 3 a few weeks ago to pay for my new Walla Walla bass. That puts me at 39 basses. I just don't have the space, in my place, to add any more. The biggest problem is all of the dam bass cases. I plan to sell off a bunch this year. There are a few I just don't use anymore.

Absolutely not! I will hopefully learn to play some Old Croak Medicine Choke along the way, but I'm writing songs for a banjo-driven power trio recording project where I play and sing everything. Got about 20 written or half written, 5 that I think will be good. But nope, it's gonna be rock and roll with occasional forays into music that's completely out of character.

I resemble that remark, or more accurately, I used to. I found a neat SS Samick and an Ibanez RB620 in my storage with only the vaguest recollection of when I got them, maybe '02-'03. I know they were both part of packages buys, but that's it.

LOL! Actually, I just got the banjo a couple months ago, was totally prepared to start recording, and I developed heart problems that make me dizzy and nauseous so I'm waiting for hospital availability to get a stent (they're in code black due to the rise of the Covid variants and only accepting emergency patients right now).

So it's only because of health issues that I don't have a couple songs recorded yet, and not because I'm hiding my light under a bushel...although once you hear it, you might be looking for a fire extinguisher to spray me down with :D

And sorry, not doing covers.

Ouch, Jimmy! That's tough. I've got six stents myself, and have had other stuff that would be TMI. According to the surgeon who did my first procedure, the known record for cardio stents in one person is twenty-six, so we've both got a way to go.

If your procedure is like mine, it will be fascinating. Everything, including the anesthesia, was done by iv drip. I was conscious, I could see, I could hear, I could *speak*, but I never felt a thing.

I shall add you to my prayer sticks.

The pain during the procedure will be minimal and probably so afterward. But they will have to go in either at your wrist or at your groin, and there will be bruising and dull pain there (closely monitored) for some days afterward. I had a port wine stain from my knees to my hip that took two weeks to vanish completely.

Mine's the groin. Brother had the wrist. He said he could actually feel the tube going into his arm. Didn't hurt, but he could feel the tube in there.
