Congrats! Note that Babicz and Hipshot both make aftermarket bridges for these now - a change that I would find essential if I owned a Gibson bass. I had an Allen Woody for awhile and sold it because of ergonomics but while I had it found the bridge to be a major PITA. One tip - the aftermarket replacement saddles (Allparts I think) are shorter than the stock ones. I had trouble getting the action low enough without swapping the saddles but to do it over I would have just replaced the bridge if she were a keeper like yours probably is.

Love the finish. My old drummer's girlfriend brought over her SG bass one day for me to check out. I thought it was extremely heavy, weightwise, and I couldn't really get a good feel or balance with it. It surprised me because I uswd to have an SG guitar that was very lightweight. How heavy is that one compared to say a Fender standard P bass?
