i couldn’t say no. i had one a few years ago and needed the $ so i sold it. this one popped up locally for less than a used CV squire and it came with a nice tweed case. how could i say no!??

might find a seafoam green pbass body and slap the neck on it though.

Nice! I had two of these years ago...sunburst and cherryburst. They're true sleepers, and I actually liked the preamp (most didn't...lame). It had a nice, aggressive, and modern sound, which is what I like, along with a wicked slap tone. Guess these basses were too modern and focused for most Fender lovers...their loss is our gain.

A 24 fret neck won't work on a 20 fret body.

realized after a few
days that im not feeling the active jazz bass vibe. my passive DJ4 sounds much better and my sterling can cop the active jazz bass sound

Yes, the earlier models had the slap (mid-cut) switch, and it was later changed to an active/passive switch.

Someone will snatch this up as they're harder to find these days.
