NBD

My first NBD post :hyper:

This is a handmade fretless, made by a Belgian apprentice-luthier. Quite obviously it's modeled after the Alembic.

First unlined fretless, got some serious practising ahead of me!

Pickups are 'Select' by EMG, controls are standard VVT. Gotoh tuners and a cool Shaller 463 bridge. The woods are absolutely stunning.

But there's one problem: it came without a case, and it doesn't fit in any standard cases. Anyone know where I could find something that would fit this bass? I already looked on the Alembic website, but the cases list $400 there, and that's just ridiculous. Thanks for any input!

I believe there are some videos that detail how to make your own case on youtube. If you have basic woodworking tools you might try that route, or have the builder make one for you. Either that or see if you could find an all-foam interior flight case. You should also be able to find a gig bag that will fit it pretty easily, but it'll likely provide a little less protection.

Beautiful bass, though! Enjoy it and take care of it!
