NBD

Geddy Lee Jazz arrived today.

Got the neck relief pretty well set. Will double check in the morning/do final tweak. Intonation is good after adjustment.

PORN!

Cool - that's the first 'burst Geddy I've seen. I noticed an ad for one in the classifieds, but didn't click in. Looks like you're ready to rock!

I put one of Mr. Quan's originals on my old series II Thunderbird. Turned it into a BadBird, for sure...

If I was looking for a bass player, and you showed up for the audition with those two basses and that amp, you would be off to a good start before even playing anything.

I'd be looking at my band mates, going, "who knows something by RUSH?"

LOL. Yeah, Rush was one of my favorites for sure. I need to go back and re-learn my Rush repertoire.

Tonight was all about Joe Jackson tunes. I freakin' love Graham Maby's tone!.

Jazz bass sounds GREAT. Like an old friend. I know the neck is thinner front to back than the American Standard I gigged with for years in the early to mid 90's. Still it feels like going home and sounds as good as I remember.

The Jazz is heavier than the Rick! The Rick is 9.36 lbs, haven't weighed the Jazz yet, but it's obviously heavier. Thought that was weird. Guess I got a solid piece of alder on mine. :)
