The twisted tale gets even stranger - the original Reverb seller just emailed me saying he has it back again and ready to sell to me. Might have it in my hands by Christmas! Not going to get excited until I've go a shipping notice...
Oh he's claimed since the start that there was a good chance he could get it back from the buyer, and that he'd try. Didn't really entirely believe him. Still don't. I won't trust this deal until it's in my hands.
If he scams you and the bass doesn't function right you can use it as a weapon to get revenge.
Unlikely, payment will be held in escrow until @bholder gives it the once over.

I got up one Sunday morning to a Tune alert. Paid before I even had coffee
Took 48 hours to get from Japan to Scotland then a couple of days for customs 
...package from Japan... ...watch this space... ...could it finally actually be????
