I typed that at three in the morning and forgot to post it - I'm all awake again Time to get some pictures and some sound clips of this thing!
A couple of proof of receipt snaps just to show I've got it. I'll grab some real pics of it in a bit it's a looker for sure!

The all mags section sounds great, I find the piezos lack a little of warmth, but maybe is just me.
I think that's maybe because the strings are about the roughest brightest stainless rounds I think I've ever heard or felt tough on the fingers but they are very bright through the piezos so yeah I'm thinking some sort of tapewound might give me more the sound I'm thinking but this is nice sounding to me as well...

I also realized the EQ may not have been flat I thought I had it set flat but when I went back and looked at it again the bass & mids were cranked down a bit I don't know if that was that way for the recording or not now.

Both your basses are fantastic!
I got a fretless semi hollow Tune that has a similar body shape to your 8 string.
Mine was piezo only, I modded it with a Lace Sensor pickup.
I’ve tried roundwounds, flats, and think it sounds best with Labella White Copper Tapewounds.

That's the WB-4 model, if I recall correctly? Yeah, one of those, in a 5er, is on my list too! Was just eyeballing a few yesterday.

It did need a good bit of truss rod adjustment, the neck was pretty well bowed, but it came right in line once I start slowly working the rod. Hoping there's enough travel left for normal maintenance from now on.
