NCAA Baseball '11

Huskers signed former Angel/White Sock/Astro (and Nebraska punter) Darin Erstad as the new skipper for next year. Very excited to see what he does. Hope a World Series ring (plus 3 gold gloves, silver slugger, and 2 all star games) helps with recruiting.

UF, FSU, and Texas are all #1 seeds in their regions. Here is the bracket for the tournament: NCAA Division I Baseball Championship Bracket - NCAA.com. First games are Friday.

The front runner is UF, of course. :D

Thanks for bracket link. Hopefully I can find the Vandy game on the internet somewhere (audio or video) tonight. Good luck to Sully and your Gators. I'll also be pulling for the Clemson Tigers in their regional.

I was at the golf course so I didn't see any of the FLA game.

Listening to the Clemson game now and barring something crazy they should handle Sacred Heart fairly easily.

Looks like I should be able to watch Vandy on the computer. Technology is nice.

Super Regionals start on Friday, tomorrow!

In other college baseball (well, softball) news, the Gator women lost in the championship game to ASU. Great effort, but ASU really took it to them. At least they didn't lose the second game like they did the first one.

Looking forward to watching some pure baseball played the way it was intended this weekend. I enjoy the MLB too, but it's a business at the core and money taints everything. Contracts, owners, egos, showboats, etc, etc, etc...

I'll be able to watch the early afternoon games (Gators @ noon on ESPN2 I think?) here at work but I don't have ESPNU at my house so I have to figure something out for the Vandy game tonight. If it's not on the computer I'll either have to go to a friends house or come back to work.

Randall pitches well through seven, the Gator bats come alive and we find ourselves in the winners bracket after day one in the CWS. Impressive to beat a Texas team so handily that is making it's 34th appearance in the CWS.

Vandy on Monday. SEC baseball being played in Omaha!!! :D
