Randall pitches well through seven, the Gator bats come alive and we find ourselves in the winners bracket after day one in the CWS. Impressive to beat a Texas team so handily that is making it's 34th appearance in the CWS.

I predicted this earlier, UF has great hitting, Texas needed to keep up and they didn't. Thank god it's not one game eliminations.

The Gators have had Vandy's number this year so I have to say I'm a bit nervous about this game. Should be good regardless.

SC/A&M game tonight started out VERY ugly but has since turned into a good game.

Great crowds in the area. Lots of college sports fans in Omaha for the WS making the quick trip to Lincoln and visit the U of N. SEC teams off to a great start.

Wahooo! Steven Rodriguez blows away Vandy in the bottom of the ninth to seal the victory. Gators are off until Friday when they will play UNC or Vandy again to (hopefully) close out bracket one and move on to the finals.

I'm on my work computer now, but thanks. I Googled Gatorzone and baseball on my phone earlier to make sure I had the right URL, but it came up with an error message--maybe too many other Gator fans were trying to find out the actual score, too.

Espn's mobile site had a headline that read "Florida holds off Vanderbilt in suspended game", but clicking on it led to last night's rain-delay story. Googling "Florida Vanderbilt baseball score" produced only stories from last night, too.

I'm starting to wonder whether any Espn, wire service or other beat writers were at the finish of the game this morning. OK, I'll quit bitching now.
