This whole rooting for a winning team is getting stressful. I keep thinking Washington will choke, and they keep not choking. Is this healthy? USC this week. I don't know what to think. Petersen will have them ready and won't let them think about the upcoming Apple Cup. Washington State is looking like a top team. It's a shame they lost those first two games. They have been beasts since.

Harvard keeps winning. This can't be right.

Alabama had their tough outing and got it behind them. I can't see Alabama or Clemson getting knocked off course this week. Nothing much will change in the Big 10 this week, either. I'm intrigued by the idea that Wisconsin could win the Big 10 eventually, leaving Michigan with one loss, either to Ohio State or to Wisconsin in the championship. Then what?

After Saturday's 69-7 Washington State beatdown of Arizona, I'm not sure what the ceiling for Wazzu is this year. I watched Cal play the dawgz and they look stout. If Wazzu beats Cal, I'd expect to jump into the teens in national ranking. That leaves Colorado and Washington, both of whom are formidable this year.

The PAC-12 goes through the state of Washington this year!

South Carolina heads to the Swamp to face whichever Gators QB McElwain decides on. We all know it's Appleby, so get over this fake expectation that Franks or Trask have a chance to play already.
Florida was actually lined up to take the SEC East, but it's slipping away and will likely end up in Tennessee's hands. As @GregC said, we have a great divide between the two SEC divisions.
Sorry, I'm a bit salty this morning for reasons beyond Florida looking like some dang fools in Fayetteville Saturday.
I have family (in-laws) in Fayetteville who remember my last trip there, so are not letting me forget this most recent game.

Dartmouth hosts Brown, which has been a tough game in the past. More or less a battle of bottom dwellers this season. Go Big Green!

Bucky with IL at home. Bucky should win. 8-2 and in control and a shot at the conference championship - as Mike says - a win? Then what? But hpefully they won't look ahead and keep their game to game focus. However, we really need a QB. This is a Ravens/Trent Dilfer kind of caretaking season at QB for Wisconsin with it's tough, tough D bailing them out time after time.

Who do you think they will pass? I don't see Clemson losing to any of their remaining opponents, and only Auburn looks like a potential threat to Alabama. That leave Michigan. I can see Ohio State beating them, and I can also see Wisconsin beating them in the Big 10 championship. But, I can also see them winning out.

I'm kinda hoping to give UW a loss to figure with. I think it will be a very tough wish to fulfill, though.

We play Cal this weekend - I've seen predictions of up to a 20+ point advantage for Wazzu. I think that's too high. But I think we have a good shot at both Cal and Colorado. 9-2 would feel pretty good going into the Apple Cup!

Amen. I'm very surprised that the Cougs are favored over Cal so much. That smells like another Oregon State-type trap game. We were down 21-0 in that one before the team came back and started scoring like a true Air Raid machine.

I keep seeing predictions that Wazzu will play in the Alamo Bowl. I love visiting San Antonio and I love the Riverwalk. If they go there, we'll be hitting the County Line for BBQ and topping it off with cold Shiner Bock.

Latest rumor on Football Scoop: Jeff Tedford evidently is leaving Cal and going to Fresno State. Word is that he has already offered coordinator jobs to some other folks, and an announcement may come tomorrow. Fresno State is in the deep-darks with a miserable season. Unfortunately that moves him from the PAC-12 to the Mountain West, so he'll be coaching against my Colorado State Rams. I think Tedford's a good coach and will improve the Bulldogs.

But...this could only help Wazzu in its game against Cal - chances are that would take some starch out of their team.

Of course, the question is: who's up next as coach at Cal?

The Gators better win tomorrow. I'm predicting they do it with a Piniero field goal in the waning seconds, which would be great since Muschamp never recruited a decent kicker. The way Appleby looked aside from that first half at Tennessee, I'm really hoping Franks gets to play in the second half.
