NCAA Football 2018 Week 3

FSU's mascot is the Noles, not the Gators ;)

Seriously, I don't know what Taggard is doing in Tallahassee, but keep me far, far away from whatever he's smoking.
Taggart is a mess. I don't know how he's getting these high profile jobs
It's a shame to see the two best football schools in the state how they are now.

Same story with Sumlin, but then again Arizona has a track record of hiring coaches that shouldn't move past position duties.

In better news, the real college football season is underway. So far, the Ivies are acquitting themselves fairly well overall. I won't be paying attention to UW/Utah this evening because I'll be making noise. That will save the usual agony of sweating out a Husky game that goes down to the wire like it always does with Utah.

The Oklahoma-Iowa State rivalry is easily one of the most underrated in CFB. The Cyclones have really been playing competitive against Oklahoma for a while now and there were more than a few moments when I thought they would upset Oklahoma again.

Now I just wish Vanderbilt would wake up against ND.

What channel broadcasts the Ivy games? I've only had luck watching Harvard-Yale here in Texas.

Have ANY new coaches, college or pro, gotten off to a good start this year? Kelly, Taggart, Gruden, Mullen, Jimbo, Frost, etc.

Wisconsin and Nebraska, woof.

Can't wait for ND to be ranked in the top 5 after their incredibly impressive 5 point win over Vandy.
I have dual loyalties. Wisconsin fan by birth, Nebraska fan by marriage.
That said, Nebraska could just as easily be 2-0 as 0-2. It's the turnovers and the undisciplined penalties that are killing the Huskers now. But I still think Scott Frost has them going in the right direction.
As far as the Badgers, I didn't see the game. So I have no idea what happened there.

I'd say Jimbo has gotten off to a good start. Their loss to Clemson had less to do with his coaching and more to do with their kicker choking in the first half. </bias> Plus they soundly stomped out UL-Monroe this week.

ESPN networks will broadcast six games this season.

Dartmouth opens strong, 41-0 over Georgetown, behind their new QB.
Woot, woot!!
Also of note recently from Hanover, Dartmouth hired the first female Division I college football assistant coach.

Yale lost to Holy Cross in OT. So it goes.

Splatter week seems to be over, and now real teams are playing real teams. BYU doesn't appear to be the patsy it was made out to be. They beat Wisconsin this week. They play Washington in a couple weeks. That will be interesting. The Pac-12 didn't do anything so great, and I'm not happy that LSU beat Auburn. That's going to make Washington's loss to Auburn just that much worse. There were a few soft games, but nothing like last week.
