NCAA Week 3

Regarding Kansas vs. USF...I gotta go with the SEC team on this one.

Wow, USF-Kansas was great. Just when it looked like Kansas had it out of reach, USF came on strong. Just when it looked like USF put it away, Kansas came back. Too bad it ended on a late pick, this one really deserved an OT finish.

Those SEC teams can really finish, huh? ;)

BYU....59....UCLA....0

UCLA's worst loss in 79 years!

Ouch!

I'm always a Bruin fan win or lose. I'm also really disappointed in Ohio State, I was hoping they'd upset USC.

Woops, I appear to have mistake Florida state for another school. Shows how much I care about that part of the nation. The important part is that Kansas lost.

Anyway, Mizzou beat Nevada 69 to 17 today, thereby making them 3-0. Next up, Buffalo.

Actually, USF is the University of South Florida, not Florida State.

This post of yours...
You know, there IS football outside of the SEC.
...gets more ironic all the time. Sheesh, us SEC "fanboys" know the names of the other schools and what conferences they're in.:spit:

Well Auburn is now up 3-0 after a very poor game (on both sides) against Mississippi State. I'm just glad Brad Lester is okay. That was a NASTY fall.

I have confidence in my Tigers though. Bring on LSU!

WAR EAGLE!

Auburn brings that same game next week, and you've got a new sig file for a week, to follow up the one you'll have after the Turkeys..er...Falcons get pancaked this week.

:smug:

LSU did exactly as expected, although I do wish they'd stop scheduling these pattycake programs. One, OK, two, maybe, but THREE? :hmm:

Glad we're gonna play some REAL football (i.e. SEC football!) next week!

:hyper:

Ohio St. got what it deserved. I'm an SEC fan, and I don't like USC, but Ohio St. is a media darling team that plays the weakest schedule out of any ranked team. Every time they play a good team they get killed. They are and have been a top 25 team at best for the past few years. All the statistics in the world don't mean anything when you play a cupcake schedule. The SEC teams fight it out every week and the players just get tougher and tougher. A pansy school like Ohio St. wilts every time it play a real football team (which is generally once a year in a bowl game -- and I don't consider Michigan a good team, btw!). When will the no-nothing pundents realize this and stop ranking Ohio St. in the top 10?

I think yesterday's performance pretty much killed any chance OSU has of getting into the BCS title game.

Stanky, you better hope Auburn shows more on offense in the upcoming weeks, or the Tigers will get beat. I turned to AU-MSU at halftime of the USC game, just in time to see the safety. If Crooms would have played field postion instead of going for it on two 4th downs, it might have ended up a 5-3 MSU win.

That being said, a pretty poor showing by the Pac-10 this weekend. Swept in games versus the Mountain West, 4-0. Arizona State losing to UNLV? Puts a damper on next week vs. UGA, that's for sure.

Wisconsin 13
Fresno State 10

And whacked WAC officials who nearly cost Wisconsin that game on a reversed replay call. Unbelievable.

Great game! That replay call was absolutely awful, no doubt Wylie fumbled. On the other hand, three missed field goals by Fresno, a couple of them chip shots; Wisconsin is lucky to have escaped with a W. Still, hats off to them for making the trip to Fresno. Most BCS teams don't have the stones to play away from home against a tough non-BCS opponent.

I think Auburn will be ready for the LSU game. I didn't even get to see the game yesterday because I was at a gig but got updates from people through the entire game. I also got about 15 calls when Brad Lester took that fall. It was NASTY. I honestly believe that our defense can hold any offense in the country. They just have to do more on offense if they want to beat LSU.

Oh, and I'm glad USC stomped Ohio State. :)

Now maybe they can stop talking about that game all the damn time... That was annoying. :p
