During my weekly trip to the grocery store, I took a detour to GC, mostly out of boredom and as an excuse to stay out of the house longer.

I wasn’t planing on getting anything, but they had one of these new in the box, it was the cheaper of the bunch, and I said to myself: why not? I’ve never owned Markbass, all the pros seem to really like this Mark guy, and life is just too short not to try things out. I had seen the reviews online and didn’t want to handle the basses at the store, so just busted out the credit card and took it home.

The fact that it doesn’t have an aux in and headphone out, the cooling fan noise reports, and the price had deterred me from checking one out before. But the fact is I hate practicing with headphones, and I hardly ever use the aux in. This one is quiet as a mouse and if it wasn’t for the power on led light, I wouldn’t know it was on.

I’ve played it for about an hour since I got it home and so far I like it. Definitely different than the Fender Rumbles I’m used to. It’s still really early but so far I’m digging it. The price was steep, but I’m happy I got it. I think I’m really going to enjoy this amp and gets lots of good use out of it.

I bought one last spring and am really happy I did. Great sound. I pair it with a Jazz Bass. I compared it to Fender Rumbles and Ampeg and it won hands down. The 35 lb combo is easy on my aging back and it packs a lot of punch. Good luck.

I have a friend who provides that head and a 115 cab as a backline when we gig in his part of the world. I really like that Black Line 250 a lot. Congrats on a great combo!
