NCD: Ampeg Heritage 810

According to the specs on the Ampeg website the Heritage cab is about the same weight as the standard 810. Heritage is 137 pounds, 140 pounds for the standard 810E.

Yep, the 165lbs is -afaik - the shipping weight.

True. After I bought the heritage, I had 3 8x10 cabs: a 2002 810e, and a similar era 810e (not sure which year since the decal on the jackplate was removed) and the 2011 heritage. The heritage was noticeably lighter than the others. It was a very noticeable difference and was much easier to move and load. But then again, that was not a comparison with a 2011/2012 810e. Perhaps the newer 810e's are lighter than the older ones.

I also noticed that the heritage "is" lighter than my previous 8x10 that was of the "OSB" era 8x10's. Great cab which is a keystone part of SVT CL/VR vibe.

Wonder if we have the same sig on our hang tags? ( I have cab# 004 from 2010) Enjoy!

I still can't figure out who this is:

Still a newb to the TB community, but happy to share my knowledge and experience in the world of Ampeg, and also my experience being a tech-dork and a clowny musician-type.

Well thanks to your excellent tech-work I'm planning on picking up a Heritage SVT-CL later this year to match up with my 810. It already sounds great with my 2006 SVT-CL but that black sparkle grill cloth is just so nice ... can't resist. And I'm a firm believer you can't have too much of a good thing!

Hodgy! You are anything but a tech dork or clowny musician type. The product you build, test, and test again is a work of beauty and perfection to the eye and ear. I know these things to be true since I own some of your work. Excellence! Thanks for taking the time to build a quality product with so much pride.

Now, when do I get my hands on your first SVT VR build??

Hodgy rocks! I keep going back and forth on getting a new SVT...I want one but I'm old and don't always want to lift it...but if I get one, this video put me over for the Heritage. There's just something about knowing that Hodgy's hands have been all up in it that's oddly comforting.

Well, thoght I'd ask here B4 doing (extensive ) research... Please.....
if this is the serial No of an SVT810 cab, made in USA by SLM

S/N - DWBDS30025 -

when was it made & is it one of the dark sounding/ OSB made ones???

If it IS I'll pass on it & grab a later LOUD one
It's a dark sounding one but it may not be OSB since it's a 2006.
