NCD - Barefaced Super Compact

Fast shipping through FedEx included in the price, excellent packaging job and arrived today within the 4 week estimated time from order to the door in perfect condition.

The fit and finish on the cab is exemplary. The tone is very true to what goes in and it gets unbelievably loud. Not just loud in the mids, loud across the range while maintaining its flatness. It feels very unnatural that something its size is so light.

I sprang for the cover and it deserves special mention. It’s well crafted and thick without being too heavy. Looks and feels capable of actually protecting against bumps and weather. It wasn’t outrageously expensive either which is appreciated.

The claims are legitimate. Everybody should have one and thank you Talkbass because without this forum I don’t think I’d have known about Alex and Barefaced. A+

Got enough highs?

Yes. I play rock covers and write/record/perform metal. I always thought that what I didn’t like was tweeters when in fact what I didn’t like or need was much past 4500hz which is where this cab rolls off. Previously I’d been low pass filtering to make that happen...if you’re ever curios try that with a cab that extends way up. To my ears the bulk of useful audio information is in the frequency range this cab does. I know some players really want to get out to 15kHz for various reasons, they need a Big Baby 2
