Maybe a spec change? Anyway, I believe these are deep well handles....here's a pic to answer the question.

I have the SB 300 and the Neo 610. Those handles are solid. and really well placed for transport.
Has a 410 been sighted with the deep dish handles? I just got one yesterday, and it has the spring loaded handles.
Am I the only one who actually prefers the spring loaded handles? Easier to lift and I have never had any issue with them. I always thought they were an upgrade on the deep dish handles since I would imagine they would be more expensive to produce.
I like spring loaded handles but I like the thicker handle of the deep dish as it's more comfortable on my hands.
the Neo 4x10 I am using has the spring loaded handles as well.
I love the SB 300 head, and will probably give back the 4x10 and go with 2 of the Fender neo 15's as the "sound in my head" gravitates more towards 15s.
The 4x10 does sound good with this amp though .. just huge when pushed a bit. It's really wonderful for a clean tube tone guy like me to have all that headroom to work with. Of course that makes part of the gain structure of the "overdrive" channel kind of a waste. I use it with the footswitch as a solo tone channel now. I just kick up the volume a bit and push the mids for more clarity/punch for solo's.
Fender really did a nice job with the the Super Bassman and the associated neo cabs.
I guess it's a matter of personal preference. The spring loaded handles fit the vintage vibe of these cabinets. As long as they don't rattle they're fine IMO. Even the 410 is light enough that the thinner grip of the spring loaded handle is not uncomfortable.
Really, the only thing I'm not crazy about on the cab is the horn attenuator knob. It feels a little cheapy, and I don't understand why they didn't go with a flush mount like most manufacturers do these days. The entire back panel is recessed so the knob doesn't stick out past the back of the cabinet, but it still seems more likely to get caught in transport than a flush L-pad.
edit: yeah, I'm drooling over a matching head at this point... It sounds great with a Markbass LMII for now though. I definitely like it better than the Markbass cab it replaced.

Just unpacked this cab and visually it is gorgeous, captures that vintage vibe.
Initial reaction to the sound of the cab is very positive, sounds like a 115. With the Neo driver and variable tweeter I have been able to dial-in a wide range of tones from deep and dark to modern crisp and clear.
Driving it with a 30w tube head so I can't really test the 350w rating. Can't wait til the kids wake up so I can crank it a bit and see what it sounds like with some tube breakup. Damn summer vacation!

YES....LuvMusic is still loving this Fender cab!
Now that I've had quality time with this cab I'm finding it is up for whatever I connect to it; Little Bastard, LMII, passive P (both "modern" and a '51 RI), active SBMM SB14 (SBMM's Sterling bass). The attenuator provides good control so I can get the amount of glass or ass I want.
Like it so much I'm thinking about adding another, selling my MB 102P combo and then adding a 100T (damn GAS).

i just got one of these cabs today. i saw a used one on the GC website for $350 and thought it was too good of a deal to pass up. maybe i got a bad one but so far i'm not impressed and i'm considering returning it. it sounds decent, i haven't messed around with my amp settings too much yet, what i really wanted to test was its power handling. my intent was to convert my Fender Studio Bass combo into just a head and use this cab with it but unfortunately that amp is over at our practice space, so i had to test it with my Ampeg B2-r, which at 8ohms is 200 watts, same as the Fender Studio Bass. with the volume maxed out and a low gain setting it was already farting out the cab a little bit. i tried different tweeter settings too and quite frankly i didn't care for the sound with it on, and it also added a ton of noise when it was all the way up. i'm hoping it'll sound better with the fender amp at practice this weekend
