Received this ‘61 B15 extension cab (double baffle) from Fliptops.net a couple weeks ago to mate with the Silvertone head and Hofner 500/1.

Boy all I can say is I’m glad I’m back to playing a vintage spec’d cab loaded with a 15” speaker! (Weber bass series)

The build quality is top notch and I can’t thank Bruce enough for answering all my questions and letting me change the grill clothe to Ampeg Heritage series black and silver!

Dripping with vintage tone for days.

P.S. I just placed an order for a second matching cab to complete my dream rig.

A couple more shots.
The Weber bass speaker has broken in nicely and it REALLY sounds good!

I’ve played vintage 15” before (CTS, JBL E140s and Altec 421) and Weber really is making a great bass speaker with vintage flavor. Hasn’t farted out yet when turned up and can go from bright/aggressive to warm/round and full!

Wish Yamaha/Ampeg would make the 61'ish, double baffle, 115 cabinets available again.

Had one given to me years back that was loaded with a EV 15L driver.

"To my ears," it was one of the best sounding cabs ever. But I parted with it and have regretted it ever since.

Couldn’t agree more. Best bass cabinets ever produced.

Double baffle is my favorite too, but there are ways of achieving it without the added weight and expense of a second baffle. Or you can just get one from Fliptops. You may be able to still get one from Vintage Blue, but Mark said earlier this year that he’s going to retire.
