The UPS man made me very happy today when he delivered to me my new (well it's used but you get it) Mesa/Boogie 2x15 EV cabinet. Picked it up for only $299! Prior to buying I had some questions about it so I called up Mesa/Boogie and talked to one of their customer support reps. We told me it is a earlier version a PowerHouse 2x15 and that this particular cab did feature the EV speakers like in the older diesel cabs. It has no tweeter/horn and also it lacks the newer Player Control Network feature and speak on connections, but makes up for it. I personally like the slide in and out lock in big casters as well, makes it a lot easier to move around, even easier for me then the tilt back on the PH 6x10 I had.

Overall I am very very happy with this cab! And of course here's the pics :smug:

Great amp suggestions. I am on a little bit of a budget right now so although those mentioned are amazing amps I know I would not be able to afford one right now unless I come across a deal of the century. I have been eyeing a Hartke 3500 however the search also continues.

So good that we more poverty stricken but more muscular musos can find utterly awesome sounding gear at very reasonable money these days of ultra limp wristed Bass players whose mum says they cant lift that much or go out without a vest on.:bawl:
What will become of Rock and Roll?.:D

It is a nice cab you have got there. Heavy as hell, but what a sound!
I can definately recommend the combination Mesa 2x15 EV and a Hartke 3500 cab. :bassist:
Hartke is value for money. The best "cheap" amp i have ever had.

I got my D-180 for $800, and have seen them for slightly less than that. Not sure if that's out of your budget.

Thanks for the responses. I actually may have to wait until next payday to get an amp. It's only two weeks away...only...

Spending $800 is out of question for me, my max I could probably swing would be $250-300. :hmm:
